What’s new in Laces (July 2024)
- Updates
In July, we developed two exciting updates for Laces, set to launch on August 7th. These updates will enhance Laces Apps (version 13.1) and the Data Platform (version 12.5).
This month, we introduced three major improvements driven by user feedback and our commitment to continually enhance Laces’ functionality and scope. These updates include refined access tokens, a new in-app service desk support, and increased overall usage flexibility within Laces.

The expiration date for access tokens
We’re enhancing access token security by introducing expiry dates and addressing customer requests for improved management. This feature allows for better control over how long someone has access, adding an extra layer of security and convenience for managing permissions within the Laces data platform. This change does not affect existing access tokens or their configuration. It is also possible to assign an expiry date to an existing access token. For details on using this feature, please refer to the LDP documentation.
In-app service desk support
The Laces service desk is now available to all users within the Laces application. This update allows seamless access to support directly from within the application, enhancing client support and maintaining the current workflow. Enjoy easier and faster support when using Laces. Additionally, users can access a knowledge base for common questions or create a ticket if the information is unavailable. The in-app service desk can be accessed from the widget available in the bottom right corner of the homepage.
SPARQL queries from GraphDB
Previously, queries from GraphDB were restricted due to certain content type limitations. We have now lifted these restrictions, allowing for more comprehensive querying capabilities. This update enables users to query all content types within GraphDB, enhancing data access and analysis. Enjoy improved functionality and flexibility in your data queries.
