Laces Actively Involved in ILS Configurator

  • Case study
2 minutes

Suppose you work with several engineering parties on a large construction, like an office building. And for this, you have to share information from multiple sources. How do you do that efficiently? In information delivery specifications (ILS), we lay down agreements that define which person transfers which information in which way. To draft and assess these quickly and efficiently, digiGO BIM Loket is developing the user-friendly ILS Configurator together with Ambrero.

Less Time-consuming, Complicated, and Prone to Errors
We want to be able to reuse existing guidelines and specifications, particularly in situations where we define processes in procedures and repeat them a lot. This makes arriving at an ILS less time-consuming, complicated, and error-prone. Statements such as ‘I’m not getting what I need’ and ‘I’m not meeting expectations’ are a thing of the past with the ILS Configurator.

Always Available With Laces Library Manager
Laces is used to combine and reuse relevant pieces from standards and previous information delivery specifications (ILS). By managing this information with Laces Library Manager and then publishing it as linked data on the Laces Data Platform, the input for the ILS configurator is always available.

Curious about the Laces-solutions? Schedule a free demo with one of our experts. It will take about 45 minutes, with no strings attached.

How to Save Time and Reduce Risk with Reusable Requirements Libraries

Creating project requirements is rarely a one-off exercise. Every new project builds on previous work. Still, most teams treat requirements as if they are starting from scratch every time. Requirements are copied from previous projects and rewritten so they fit the context. The content itself is often proven, but the challenge is that requirements live […]

The Five Biggest Challenges in Creating Statements of Requirements for Engineering Teams

If you work in engineering, you don’t need anyone to explain what a statement of requirements (SoR) is. Every new project, whether it involves a bridge, tunnel, road expansion, or water facility, begins with the same process: collecting all requirements, structuring them, validating them, revising them, and ensuring that no critical requirement is overlooked. SoRs […]

Structure, Link, and Reclaim Control Over Requirements

In today’s complex engineering landscape, clarity is non-negotiable whether you’re working on a new satellite platform, an electric vehicle, or a regional water system. The systems we build are more complex, integrated, and dependent on data than ever before. And yet, one of the most critical ingredients for success, the specification, is still too often […]
